Court qualified in State, Federal, Probate and Bankruptcy Court, Tam Kaiden is an independent, privately trained Forensic Document Examiner in the Chicago suburbs serving the greater Midwest. Tam Kaiden specializes in examinations of questioned documents, handwriting identification, consulting, as well as exhibit preparations and expert testimony.
Participated in proficiency testing through Collaborative Testing Services (2010), a third party, independent testing facility. Tam Kaiden has a zero personal examiner error rate.
The CTS interlaboratory testing programs are recognized by several organizations in North America including the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB). Proficiency testing provides an independent evaluation of an examiners competency and skill.
The U.S. Department of Justice published a report in August of 2009 wherein they show the importance of proficiency testing when they quoted the ASCLD/LAB position- "A proficiency testing program is a reliable method of verifying that the laboratory's technical procedures are valid and that the quality of work is being maintained."
Third party, independent proficiency testing is testing from a source that the document examiner has no affiliation or membership with.
